hǎi lún　　　xiǎo māo zěn me le ，shàng wǔ dōu méi chī dōng xī。
海　伦　　　　小　猫　怎　么 了 ，　上　午 都　没　吃　 东　西。
                     What's wrong with the cat? He didn't eat this morning.

lǐ méi　　 　shì bú shì tā bù xǐ huān chī ā ，nǐ wèi tāshén me le？
李 梅　　　 是　不 是　它 不 喜　欢　吃　啊，你 喂　它 什　么 了？
                     Maybe he doesn't like what you fed him? What did you feed him?

hǎi lún　　　xīn mǎi de māo liáng ，wǒ jué de tā yīng gāi huì xǐ huān chī nǎ。
海　伦　　　 新　买　的 猫　　粮　，我 觉　得 它　应　该会喜欢吃哪。 
                     Some new cat food. I thought he would enjoy it.

lǐ méi　　 　kàn lái tā shì bù zěn me xǐ huān ，gěi tā tiáo yú chī bɑ。
李 梅　　　 看　来　它 是　不 怎　么 喜　欢　，给　它　条　鱼 吃　吧。 
                     Maybe he doesn't like it. Try giving him some fish.

hǎi lún　　　tā tài xiǎo hái bù néng zhí jiē chī yú ，zhǐnéng chī yú guàn tou。
海　伦　　　 它 太　 小　还　不　能　直　接吃鱼 ，只能吃鱼　罐头。 
                     He can't digest fresh fish yet; maybe some can fish will work.

lǐ méi　　 　jiā lǐ méi yǒu guàn tou le ，yào bù wèi diǎn er niú nǎi bɑ。
李 梅　　　 家　里 没　有　 罐　头　了 ，要　不 喂　 点　儿 牛　奶　吧。
                     We don't have any…maybe some milk?

hǎi lún　　　hǎo de 。rú guǒ dào wǎn shàng hái bù chīdōng xī ，jiù dài tā qù yī yuàn bɑ。
海　伦　　 好　的。如 果　到　晚上　还　不 吃东　西，就　带它 去医院吧。 
                     If he still doesn't eat anything by this evening, I'll take him to the vet tomorrow.
